Toronto is Canada's most populated city, and also couples up as the capital of the province of Ontario, Canada. It is on the shores of Lake Ontario, to the northwestern side, a convenient location for Toronto as the official financial, business, and cultural hub of Canada.
Canada is home to the most outstanding skyscrapers of the region. Perhaps the most conspicuous of them all is the iconic CN Tower, comprising of a unique five hundred and fifty-three meters tower that was built in to represent the Canadian National (CN) officially.
Toronto is home to green scenic parks and gardens, as well as nicely-manicured courses. An example is the oval of the Queen's Park, a fantastic urban setting of a well-kept lawn that provides for a conducive reading and relaxing environment. Another one is the extensive High Park that is home to excellent and winding trails, well-equipped sports facilities, and beautiful zoos for the public to visit and enjoy views from.
The culture and history of Toronto are preserved away in the Art Gallery of Ontario as well as in the Royal Ontario Museum, where various art and craft exhibitions are beautifully displayed for the public to view and appreciate. More cultural and historical artifacts can be found in the Toronto Hockey Hall of Fame, the Toronto Bell Lightbox, as well as in the headquarters of the Toronto International Film Festival.
The CF Toronto Eaton Center houses a major shopping mall for all kinds of shopping experiences, with numerous stalls and shops. The close-by China Town has an attractive appeal to itself that invites visitors from far and wide to partake of its outstanding beauty. On top of that, the Kensington Market is home to numerous shopping stalls, restaurants, and coffee houses.
For more memorable shopping experiences, the Queen Street West, found to the far west side of Toronto, is lined with dozens of high-end boutiques and stalls with various goods and products. More restaurants and hotels are also found here. Some galleries display fantastic art pieces and craft works, along the same streets.
Touring the rural islands of Toronto is made possible via the ferries that depart from the waterfront on the route across the water. The waterfront is a host of amazing fun activities, including cycling and evening strolling.
One other attractive spot to visit while in Toronto is the Distillery District. It was established in the nineteenth century, and it serves as the industrial area. Here, galleries are lined up full of art and craft works as well as more boutiques and shopping stalls.

When to visit Toronto

Toronto is a prime tourist destination that operates all year round. The city enjoys a hot-summer humid continental climate, and most days are crowned with warm, humid weather, albeit tolerable. Summer is generally pleasant and acceptable by many visitors, but winter becomes extremely cold, windy, and often snowy. Spring and autumn seasons range from mild to cool and have pleasant weather and magnificence.
The peak tourist season in Toronto is between June and September owing to the significant events that take place. For instance, in June, the renowned Pride Toronto takes place where the people take time to appreciate the LGBT community. Then between July and August, the annual Caribbean Carnival is celebrated with all the color, pomp, and decorations with performances from beautifully costumed dancers.
Between August and September, the Canadian National Exhibition is held to celebrate and appreciate the artistic works of its people. Within the same month, in September, Toronto hosts the Toronto International Film Festival to award and celebrate the talent within the film industry.
